4 Creative Business Realities and some creative math

Late at night I make lists, this one is in progress… Some undeniable truths of dealing with clients as a creative, and some real-world traslations to some VERY common statements.

  • The kind of work you show - is the kind of work you get.
  • Regardless of how organized and proactive you are, clients will screw with your scheduling, your workflow and ultimately your sanity.
  • It’s not proofread.
  • Every client is not only a writer, but a photographer as well.

Client Speak Equations

  • We have plenty of time = 1 day
  • I need this rush = It’s already late
  • I’ll send that check out today = unknown
  • I’ll email it to you = 17MB+
