I’m kicking myself today - for weeks, I’ve been meaning to buy tickets to the 11/19 Mike Doughty concert @ The World Cafe, I heard about it the day it was announced, and I zoned on it..now here we are 30+ days later and of course it’s sold out, to rub salt in that wound, Mike’s releasing a new album on that very day - so I’m sure that concert would rock - I’m licking the salt out of my wounds enjoying THIS show. If you’ve never heard Mike before, and are into ‘smart lyrics’ and casual performances (meaning that its not uncommon to have Mike do five minutes on current events in the middle of a set).

NOTE: I’m 9 tracks in, and I must say THIS show is one of the best doughty show’s I’ve ever heard, it’s album quality and then some (Mike, like all decent artists, doesn’t discourage taping of his shows), download it and give a listen.
