As a thin person all my life (I know I am one of the blessed ones) I can't compare the way people are treated at different weights, but I have seen it. It is truly sad that we judge people by outward appearances, but it is the first judgment passed. Skin color, beauty, weight, big schnouz...whatever. Its sad we judge based on these items and not the content of the person.

Saul your content has long been tops in my book - if I were with Grape Nuts you would get the multi billion dollar contract you deserve.

I've gone through the same thing (lost 60 lb this year)... I don't know if the way I think people act is because the way I THINK they see me. I was always terribly self conscious of my weight. When I went to SXSW being a middle aged, over weight, house wife type person, made me think that i would not fit in with the "cool" people. But I really don't know if that's because it's what i think of me, not really what others are really thinking...
does this make sense?

I have ALWAY though of you as rather talented and cool, as i think our colleges do too.

to bad i can't go on a diet for the age thing...
