Que Reste Il De Nos Amours
I’ve been lax in my blogging here, and for that I apologize - enjoy this audio selection by the very talented Dee Dee Bridgewater, while I get back into the swing of things.

How do you get to know a person?, I suppose there’s lots of ways, but I have 3 favorite ways -
Here’s where I’m at right now.

Damn TV! and their never ending marathons, I swear Tuesday will be better…
For your ear(s) enjoyment a very haunting piano cover of NIN’s ‘HURT’ I found on Muxtape.
I bought the new B-52s album ‘FunPlex’, and it’s great, Kate and company never disappoint, I can’t think of too many other bands that are as consistent as the B-52s, Pretty good album to workout too, which was an added bonus.
I’ve been a fan since ‘85 when Kate joined the band, oddly I knew of Kate from her work with ‘The Ramones’, how’s that for an odd combination the b-52’s and ‘The Ramones’.
This is ‘Dancing Now’, one of the four standout tracks in the 11 track / 48 minute ‘FunPlex’
This track has been hanging out unplayed in iTunes for far too long, the genius of Don Sugarcane Harris IMHO the greatest violinist/guitarist EVER (YO YO Ma is great, but can he rock like this for 9:26 ?)
Eleanor Rigby from Fiddler on the Rock
I’m a little late to the game of this one, supposedly Howard Stern played this last week, I’ve been listening to it for at least that long - Obadiah Parker’s amazing cover of this heavily played Andre3000 track is just plain good, a refreshing spin on a song, I was honestly tired off.
I listen to a LOT of covers - I’m not sure this is my 100% favorite of all time, but for the NOW - these two are at the top of the list.
Urge Overkill & The Violent Femmes respectively.
Thanks Dawn, great find!, IMHO the best the Foo Fighters have ever sounded, think I like this better than the original.
My dear friend Dawn pointed me to this excellent Chris Cornell cover of a classic MJ song, it’s certainly worthy of a few listens, I don’t recall him sounding this good in Soundgarden.
Yet another song that have been significant in my life.
Not much I can say about this song other than it reminds me of my wife. I like the Dire Straits version best, but Matt Nathanson does a great job performing this live.
