‘T’ spends her weekends working at a no-kill animal shelter in Fairless Hills, PA (It’s inside the PETSMART near the Oxford Valley Mall).
Sadly they have a bunch of loving animals that have been ignored, abused, or discarded - I’m mortified when I hear the stories of these loving and affectionate animals, it just reinforces, my general opinion that most people suck. Stop in, play with a few of the cats - they appreciate the attention, and if you are so inclined, put in a application for adoption (or foster). HFTA takes donations via a PayPal link on their homepage.

‘T’ and I went gallery hopping last saturday, and by chance stopped in at Phillypaws, a impressive animal shelter on 2nd street. ‘T’ spends almost every weekend volunteering at a similar (albeit smaller) shelter so it was pretty interesting seeing the differences. The animals where very sweet, and if I could I would adopt every single one of them. The fellow pictured above, was a real charmer.

So last week ‘T’ and I took a few days off to relax, get away from our daily grind, and to travel up to Lancaster to see Mike Doughty at the Chameleon Club, (rectifying a previous mistake), It was a great show, It was the first time I’d seem Mike live, although I’ve been listening to fan recorded live shows for years. I was pleasant suprised that he played tons of old stuff, as well as some select Soul Coughing hits, as always he rocks hard, and in typical Doughty fashion - the dialog was flowing freely. If you ever have the opportunity to see Mike Doughty you really should, it’s relaxed, fun and musically delicious.
(really the only disappointment of the evening is the noise in the pic above - ya gotta love how much the iphone camera sucks in low light)

Veggies are amazing, amazing textures, exotic colors, intricate patterns — flowers get all the press, but check out the colors on those carrorts, damn sexy!, almost a shame to eat them… big thanks to ‘T’ who buys me veggies, as much for their appearance as their taste.

I guess the selection of books on my desk tell the story.

I wasn’t surprised by the announcement that Polaroid was ceasing production of instant film, instant film is just one of latest digital photography victims, don’t get me wrong I love digital photography, but it’s not without it’s downside.
- The art of making prints is all but lost.
- Now EVERYONE is a photographer
- Cell phones cameras are everywhere - privacy is non-existent
- People learned the word ‘MEGA-PIXELS’
Pictured above are my (left to right); Kodak Kodamatic Champ, Polaroid OneStep CloseUp and my Polaroid SX-70 Land Camera (with sonar) just 3 of the notable 5 instant cameras I have - no doubt film will still be available, just at a premium price.

Just another example of why my wife ‘T’ is so damn cool, she bought me these Warners Brothers’esque Carrots, just because they looked ‘cartoon-familiar’, and she knew I would appreciate that. she was right. (you also get a darn nice view of part of my kitchen backslash)
